  • John G. Kruchko gave a presentation and participated in a panel discussion on the Employee Free Choice Act for the Virginia Ready-Mixed Concrete Association at their Fall Convention on September 21, 2009 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
  • Kevin B. McCoy spoke to the Vienna Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce on Employer Liability Stemming from Volunteers and Interns, on August 18, 2009 in Vienna, Virginia.
  • Jay R. Fries gave an update on the ADA to the Sterling Educational Services in Baltimore, Maryland on June 9, 2009.
  • John G. Kruchko gave a presentation to the Virginia Ready-Mixed Concrete Association on May 18, 2009 on the Employee Free Choice Act.
  • On May 12, 2009, Jay R. Fries spoke to the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce in Hunt Valley, Maryland, on the issue of Employee Investigations, and Avoiding the Legal and Practical Minefield.

  • An article written by John G. Kruchko and Kathleen A. Talty on “When is a Request for Leave of Absence an Unreasonable Accommodation under the ADA” was published by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters in their November 2009 newsletter.
  • An article written by John G. Kruchko and Paul M. Lusky on “Employees with Flu Symptoms:  Unfit for Duty?" was published by the Virginia Ready-Mixed Concrete Association in October 2009.
